Staff Summary
• There is a need for the supply of calcium nitrate (used for odor control), a storage and delivery system, as well as monitoring and testing of the chemical for the Quentin Road Pump Station.
• Sealed bids were received from four vendors, and upon review it was determined that two of the bids were no-bids, and the apparent low bidder was determined to be non-responsive by Lake County Purchasing.
• Evoqua Water Technologies was determined to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who best meets the needs of the County for an estimated annual cost of $118,080.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, there is a need for the supply of calcium nitrate (used for odor control), a storage and delivery system, as well as monitoring and testing of the chemical for the Quentin Road Pump Station; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received from four vendors on January 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m; and
WHEREAS, upon review two of the submitted bids were no-bids and Lake County Purchasing deemed the apparent low bidder non-responsive; and
WHEREAS, based on the criteria set forth in the Invitation to Bid; staff evaluated the bid submittals and determined that the bid submitted by Evoqua Water Technologies, Sarasota, Florida, in the estimated annual amount $118,080, is the only responsive and responsible bidder that meets the needs of the County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into a contract with Evoqua Water Technologies, for the Calcium Nitrate for Public Works in the estimated annual amount of $118,080.
