· Winchester Road Left Turn Lane & Railroad Crossing: Contract Award.
· Winchester Road will be improved at the County campus west access road.
· This improvement will include adding left turn lanes east bound into the west County access road and west bound at the Butler Lake Park entrance, as well as the addition of a barrier median at the Metra Rail track crossing.
· A total of five bids were received, ranging from $1,123,456.05 to $1,273,593.95, and the lowest responsible bidder is Berger Excavating, Wauconda, Illinois, in the amount of $1,123,456.05.
· This resolution authorizes execution of the contract.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, pursuant to authority granted by this Lake County Board, the County Engineer heretofore called for sealed bids, by publication, for the Winchester Road improvement, and designated as Section 10-00151-22-CH; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication calling for said bid, sealed bids were received and opened on February 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lake County Division of Transportation in Libertyville, Illinois; a tabulation of said bids being as follows:
