R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Peterson Road, County Highway 20, is a designated route on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, Illinois Route 60 is a designated route on the state highway system; and
WHEREAS, recently completed improvements to the intersection of Peterson Road and Illinois Route 60, which included the relocation and realignment of Peterson Road and the widening, resurfacing, and installation of permanent traffic control signals, are beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public; and
WHEREAS, this County Board, at its meeting of October 10, 2006, did appropriate $525,000 of County Bridge Tax funds and $375,000 of Matching Tax funds, and at its meeting of February 12, 2009, did appropriate $500,000 of matching Tax funds for acquisition of necessary right-of-way for said improvement; and
WHEREAS, a supplemental appropriation of funds for right-of-way acquisition is needed for associated right-of-way expenses.
