• The Sheriff’s Office received notification on September 29, 2021, that it had been awarded $18,000. Grant funds will be primarily used to purchase Vivitrol for vetted opioid addicted inmates.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Illinois State Opioid Response Criminal Justice Medication Assisted Treatment Integration grant from the United States Department of Health and Human Services, SAMHSA administered by IDHS grant in the amount of $18,000 and was awarded this grant; and,
WHEREAS, approval of this grant will allow for the purchase of Vivitrol for vetted opioid addicted inmates.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Chair of the Board, the Lake County Sheriff, and the Lake County Treasurer are hereby authorized to approve an emergency appropriation in the amount of $18,000 and execute the necessary documentation to accept said award.
