R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the County of Lake (County) owns, operates and maintains the Knollwood/Rondout Water System; and
WHEREAS, the Bradley Road Reservoir, which is a 1-million gallon cylindrical steel structure and part of the Knollwood/Rondout Water System, is in need of repair and repainting; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Rules of this County Board, bids were called for by publication for the Bradley Road Reservoir Repaint and Repair Project; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, the County received requests for bid documents from twenty-nine (29) contractors; and
WHEREAS, ten (10) sealed bids were received and publicly opened in the office of the Public Works Department on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., and
WHEREAS, Tecorp, Inc., Joliet, IL, is the lowest responsive, responsible bidder in the amount of $266,300.00; nine (9) other bids received ranged from $283,300 to $730,739.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with Tecorp, Inc., Joliet, IL, in the amount of $266,300.00 for the Bradley Road Reservoir Repaint and Repair Project and charging costs thereof to Account No. 610-4811510-71170-48310.
