Per the HRSA Health Center Compliance Manual, Chapter 16: Billing and Collections, “the health center has and utilizes board-approved policies, as well as operating procedures, that include the specific circumstances when the health center will waive or reduce fees or payments required by the center due to any patient’s inability to pay.”
