Staff Summary

•                     Debris jams in Old Mill Creek are causing an interjurisdictional impact to US Route 45 stormwater infrastructure and elevating normal water levels and reducing available flood storage in a detention basin in the Falling Waters Subdivision in Lindenhurst, Illinois.

•                     Pursuant to 55 ILCS 5/5-1062(j), SMC issued a written 10-day notice of planned stream maintenance work.

•                     SMC executed an agreement with Integrated Lakes Management for stream maintenance, which is tentatively scheduled for late September 2026, with an estimated cost of $14,532.42.
