Staff Summary
• Chapter 51 of the Lake County Code of Ordinances establishes all water and sewer user rates, connection fees, and additional charges for use of the County’s water and sewer systems.
• The Ordinance is revised periodically to modify rates and fees, as necessary.
• The adjustment to the laboratory fees is as a result of the rising cost of supplies and the need to align the fees between the Health Department and Public Works laboratories. The new water meter fees are a pass through from the vendor.
• In accordance with County Board Rules, the State’s Attorney’s Office has reviewed this Ordinance prior to action by the County Board.

ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, Chapter 51 establishes all water and sewer user rates, connection fees, and additional charges for use of the County’s water and sewer systems; and
WHEREAS, the Ordinance is revised periodically to modify rates and fees, as necessary; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to adjust the fees for laboratory services and water meter; and
WHEREAS, the modified fees established in Sections 51.24 are attached as Exhibit A.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the laboratory and water meter fees attached as Exhibit A hereto, be adopted.
