WHEREAS, the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) has been authorized by the State of Illinois to carry out planning responsibilities for the Chicago metropolitan area; and
WHEREAS, the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning has awarded to the Lake County Division of Transportation an $187,500 grant for State Fiscal Year 2009 (7/1/2008 to 6/1/2009) to provide reimbursement for Unified Work Program expenditures relative to a study of non-motorized travel on the county highway system; and
WHEREAS, Lake County must enter into a grant agreement with the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning to receive said Unified Work Program reimbursements (at an 80% level), a draft copy of which is attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board that the Chair of the County Board, the County Clerk, the County Engineer be authorized and they are hereby directed to execute an agreement for the receipt of Unified Work Program reimbursements in the amount of $187,500 from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning.
