These procedures and policies provide context and interpretation of the requirements of the Animal Care and Control program and give directions to staff on how to conduct activities of the program ranging from facility and site inspections, investigating complaints, pursuing enforcement action, and assuring consistency and continuity in the program. The proposed changes include language clarification and definitions.
These proposed procedures and policies were reviewed and approved by the Environmental Health Advisory Committee at their meeting on November 17, 2025.
