Resolution authorizing a contract with the Gordian Group, LLC, to provide project management services for the development and management of Job Order Contracting (JOC) related projects in the amount of $104,000.
Staff Summary
· In 2008 Lake County entered into a contract with the Gordian Group, LLC IL to provide consulting services for the development of a Job Order Contracting (JOC) program for the County.
· As part of the JOC Contract Gordian Group provided project management assistance, oversight of the development of the Progen Software and training for local JOC contractors.
· Staff has identified 21 pending projects, valued at $1,250,000, that will be included as part of the scope of work for project management.
· All pending projects have been previously funded as either part of the County’s Capital Improvement Plan (CCIP) and/or facilities operations budget.
· Pursuant to Article 6, section 102, the Purchasing Agent convened an ad hoc review group that approved bid exemption on the basis that there exists a long standing, successful relationship and the knowledge gained through this relationship adds value integral to the services provided.

WHEREAS, In 2008 Lake County entered into a contract with the Gordian Group, LLC, to provide consulting services for the development of a Job Order Contracting (JOC) program for the County.
WHEREAS, the County is seeking to contract for project management services in the development and management of Job Order Contracting (JOC) related projects; and
WHEREAS, in response to Lake County’s request, the Gordian Group submitted a proposal in the amount of $104,000; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Article 6, Section 102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, the Purchasing Agent convened an ad hoc review group that approved bid exemption on the basis that that there exists a long standing, working relationship with the Gordian Group.
