Joint Resolution authorizing an emergency appropriation in the amount of $200,000 in the Division of Transportation’s budget due to an increase in fuel prices and consumption demands due to the severe winter, authorizing an increase in the expense budget; and request its adoption.

 

Staff Summary

                     An emergency appropriation of $200,000 is needed in the DOT budget due to the increase in fuel prices and consumption demands due to the severe winter.

                     Funds were budgeted in GOE as a fuel contingency, and the emergency appropriation is now needed.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Division of Transportation purchases and dispenses gasoline and diesel fuel for all Lake County Departments; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the prices of fuel and consumption demands have been increasing; and

 

WHEREAS, an emergency appropriation, funded by a transfer in the general operating expense contingency account, is needed.

 

                                                                                    

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation of $90,000 in account 214-4300040-65090, and $110,000 in account 214-4300040-65100 is hereby authorized; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that revenue account 214-4300010-49920 will be increased $200,000 to reflect the transfer of funds.
