New Client Wait List
As of October 23, 2024, there are 1,512 individuals on our general medicine new client waitlist, 1,342 adults and 170 pediatrics. These individuals are looking to establish care in our following health centers:
* Grand: 38%
* Belvidere Medical Building: 37%
* Zion: 7%
* Midlakes: 7 %
* North Shore: 7%
* Libertyville: 2%
* North Chicago: 2%

The total new client wait list has been decreased by 57 individuals, 162 adults were removed, and 105 pediatric clients were added to the waitlist since the October 8, 2024, report to Governing Council. There are currently 59 new patient appointment slots per week.

Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) Application for 2025
The FTCA application for malpractice coverage for the FQHC for Calendar Year 2025 was approved. The Notice of Deeming Action for Calendar Year 2025 was received on November 1, 2024.

North Chicago Health Center (NCHC) reconstruction update
Over the last few months, LCHC/CHC has experienced delays with permit approval thru the City of North Chicago and their approval partner, but the challenges have not stop us from moving forward. We have been removing and replacing all the mechanicals in the mezzanine as well as replacing all the decking/flooring on that level.
Over the last 4 weeks, we have been able to make progress with staging drywall supplies onsite and getting the ceilings installed in several rooms. This will allow our contracted partners to begin re-attaching pipes for HVAC, fire alarm fixtures, internet cabling, electrical, etc. Everything that was mounted to the mezzanine had to be r...
