· The 2010 RTA grant cycle is underway and previously Lake County received one year of ICE grant funding from the RTA for the Lake County Northwest Circulator Demonstration Project.
· The RTA indicated that the County should re-apply for the desired second year of ICE funding.
· The county’s role will be grant coordinator and partial local match with Pace.
· Any grant contract is subject to further board approval regarding allocations of the necessary ¼% Sales Tax for Transportation and Public Safety funds.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, by prior resolution at its meeting of August 12, 2008, authorized the Chairman of the County Board, the County Clerk and the County Engineer to apply for a Technical Assistance grant from the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) for the implementation of the Lake County Northwest Circulator Getting to Work Demonstration Project in cooperation with Pace under the Innovation, Coordination and Enhancement (ICE) Program; and
WHEREAS, Lake County applied for and received grant funding from the RTA under the ICE Program for the first year of operating costs for the demonstration project called the “Lake County Northwest Circulator” project; and
WHEREAS, Pace has been operating the Lake County Northwest Circulator Demonstration Project since November 23, 2009 under an agreement approved by the County Board at its November 10, 2009 and is a willing service provider; and
