* Lake County will delete the municipal extension of Hawley Street from Seymour Avenue easterly 0.78 miles to Illinois Route 176 from the Lake County Highway System.
* The Village of Mundelein will be responsible for all capital and routine maintenance and will have permit authority of Hawley Street from North Lake Street (United States Route 45) easterly to Illinois Route 176.
* The Village has an improvement planned for this section of Hawley Street, that will improve the road and complete a non-motorized gap between the North Shore Path and Millennium Trail.
* The Village of Mundelein approved this agreement on April 14, 2025.

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Hawley Street, County Highway 70, is a designated route on the county highway system from Illinois Route 176 easterly to the east edge of pavement of Seymour Avenue, and a municipal extension from the east edge of pavement of Seymour Avenue easterly to Illinois Route 176; and

WHEREAS, Lake County and the Village of Mundelein are desirous for Hawley Street, from the east edge of pavement of North Lake Street (United States Route 45) easterly to Illinois Route 176 be under Village jurisdiction; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to 605 ILCS 5/5-105, the County Board of Lake County, Illinois by resolution, may transfer road jurisdiction to another highway authority upon the approval of the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT); and

WHEREAS, this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, may, by resolution approved by IDOT, remove the municipal extension of County Highw...
