* The Health Department received an additional $745,850 in grant funding for the period of July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, which has not been previously appropriated because the grant resources were approved after the County's adoption of the Fiscal Year 2026 budget.
* This funding is to provide intervention, recovery support, and treatment services to clients and their family members impacted by substance use disorders as well as community intervention services.
* The grant funds will be administered in accordance with the terms and conditions of the award.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center has received a grant increase for the Illinois Department of Human Services Fixed Rate Substance Use Disorder and Gambling Disorder Grant; and
WHEREAS, these additional funds will provide intervention, recovery support, and treatment services to clients and their family members impacted by substance use disorders as well as community intervention services; and
WHEREAS, the additional funding amount totaling $745,850 for the period of July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, which has not been previously appropriated having been approved after adoption of the Fiscal Year 2026 budget; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $745,850 is hereby authorized in the Health Department Fiscal Year 2026 budget as identified on the listing of expense and revenue budget modifications attached hereto and made part hereof; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the revenue budgets as identified on the attached listing be modified as provided by increased funding from the following:
