The Health Department received an additional $20,000 in grant funding for the period of July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, which has not been previously appropriated because the grant resources were approved after the County’s adoption of the Fiscal Year 2026 budget. These funds are in addition to the original grant award and will provide additional support for program operations and activities associated with Tobacco Free Initiatives. The grant funds will be administered in accordance with the terms and conditions of the award.

To approve the additional funds from the Illinois Department of Public Health Tobacco Free Communities Grant funding and emergency appropriate $20,000 for Fiscal Year 2026.
