Resolution authorizing the creation of an Ad Hoc Ethics Committee and authorizing the appointment of members to the Ethics Committee for the purpose of reviewing the Lake County's Ethic's Ordinance.
Body
WHEREAS, Lake County adopted and Ethics Ordinance in 1999; and
WHEREAS, The State of Illinois adopted an Ethics Ordinance in 2003; and
WHEREAS, an Ethics Committee was formed in 2003 for the purpose of reviewing the existing ordinance; and
WHEREAS, Lake County amended its Ethics Ordinance in 2004 in compliance with the State of Illinois Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, The Lake County Board requests the formation of this Ad Hoc Committee to review the current Lake County Ethics Ordinance and make recommendations regarding the ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the appointed Ad Hoc Ethics Committee will meet for the purpose of reviewing the Lake County Ethics Ordinance, receiving and reviewing input and recommending changes to the existing ordinance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the following members be appointed:
Stevenson Mountsier, Chairman;
Pat Carey;
Bonnie Thompson Carter;
Audrey Nixon; and
Craig Taylor.
