Staff Summary
· In 2012, the Planning, Building and Zoning Committee directed staff to study the considerations and options related to expanding the zones in which chickens may be raised; and further, to make a recommendation on specific standards for the raising of chickens in the unincorporated areas.
· Based on extensive best-practices research, staff has developed recommendations and drafted amendments to the UDO for consideration by the Committee.
