Joint resolution authorizing execution of a contract with Aldridge Electric in the amount of $64,400 for the Lincoln Well Emergency Generator Project.
Staff Summary
· The County owns and operates the Lincoln Well which provides for the supply and treatment of the majority of the ground water that is delivered to County customers in the Fox Lake Hills water system.
· The well does not have a permanent emergency power source but does have an emergency connection for a portable generator to deliver backup power as required by IEPA regulations.
· In order to provide uninterrupted service to this vital facility the installation of a permanent on-site generator has been designed and bids were called for by publication for the Lincoln Well Emergency Generator Project.
· A total of six (6) sealed bids were received.
· Aldridge Electric, Inc., Libertyville, IL is the lowest responsive, responsible bidder in the amount of $64,400; four (4) other bids received ranged from $66,300 to $72,000 and one (1) bidder was permitted to withdraw their bid in accordance with Article 4-102(9) of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance.
· This resolution authorizes a contract with Aldridge Electric, Inc., Libertyville, IL in the amount of $64,000 for the Lincoln Well Emergency Generator Project.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the County of Lake (County) owns and operates the Lincoln Well in the Fox Lake Hills Water System; and
WHEREAS, in order to provide an uninterruptable emergency source of power it is proposed that a permanent standby generator be installed at the Lincoln Well House; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 4-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication for the Lincoln Well Emergency Generator Project; and
