Review of draft Intergovernmental Agreement Between the Village of Mundelein and the County for sanitary sewer service.
Body
• The County and the Village of Mundelein are working on an Intergovernmental Agreement for sanitary sewer service to areas in the vicinity of Route 45 and Route 83.
• The County currently provides limited retail service to Mundelein areas without a formal agreement.
• There is a desire to enter into an agreement now because the County is seeking Mundelein's approval to build a new pump station in this area to pump flow to the NCT plant in Vernon Hills as part of the long range phase-out of the Diamond-Sylvan Lake Treatment Plant.
• The Village of Mundelein is interested in an agreement because they have limited ability to provide sewer service to this area economically and are interested in getting service to potential development.
• Provisions of the draft agreement will be reviewed with Committee for comment and input.
