· Lake County has received “New Freedom” grant funding, over 2 years, from the RTA for the expansion of paratransit services in said townships. Pace will supply 50% of the local match for this project (guaranteed for 1 year only at this time) and coordinate all operations of these services.

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, by prior resolution at its meeting of November 14, 2006, adopted a resolution in support of the Lake County Coordinated Transportation Services Committee (LCCTSC) goal to develop a borderless paratransit system service in Lake County to meet the needs of the mobility challenged constituent population; and

WHEREAS, Lake County by prior resolution authorized an agreement for the receipt of federal “New Freedom” grant funds, over 2 years, administered by the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) to provide partial funding for the expansion of paratransit service in Lake County during weekdays in Antioch, Avon, Grant and Lake Villa Townships; and

WHEREAS, said “New Freedom” grant fund agreement calls for a local funding match of said funds; and
