Discussion on Renewable Energy Credits (RECs).

 

Staff Summary

•                     The County currently purchases Renewable Energy Credits through our Direct Energy contract and currently maintains a rate that allows for 50 percent of the total electricity portfolio to be made of renewable energy.

•                     At a previous meeting, the Committee requested additional information related to RECs.  Staff, with support from a representative of Standard Solar will provide information related to RECs.
