• The Identification and Authentication Policy provides a framework to ensure that only authorized users and devices may access Lake County’s Information Systems by implementing secure and consistent identity verification processes to protect County data and support compliance with cybersecurity standards.
• Enterprise IT developed the policy ensuring alignment with best practices and County operations.
• This policy was developed using County Policy 1.1: Policy Making Framework, ensuring all County departments and stakeholders had opportunity to review and provide comment.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Identification and Authentication Policy provides a framework to ensure that only authorized users and devices may access Lake County’s Information Systems by implementing secure and consistent identity verification processes to protect County data and support compliance with cybersecurity standards; and
WHEREAS, Enterprise IT developed the policy ensuring alignment with best practices and County operations; and
WHEREAS, this policy was developed using County Policy 1.1: Policy Making Framework, ensuring all County departments and stakeholders had opportunity to review and provide comment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the attached Policy document is hereby adopted and shall take effect immediately.
