R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, in order to reduce the consumption of electricity in traffic control signals located at various intersections throughout the county highway system, the Division of Transportation annually undertakes to replace signal heads with LED heads and install battery backup standby power; and
WHEREAS, a survey of traffic control signals at various intersection throughout the county highway system for said LED signal head replacements has been completed; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that there is hereby appropriated $120,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for the 2009 LED traffic signal head replacements and designated as Section 09-00000-13-GM.
