Staff Summary

·      The Rate Ordinance establishes all water and sewer user rates and connection fees for the County's water and sewer systems.

·      The ordinance is revised periodically to modify rates and fees, as necessary.

·      This ordinance increases the South Central sewer rate from $41.78 to $42.50 per month for unmetered sewer, and from $5.22 to $5.31 per 1,000 gallons for metered sewer, as a result of a rate increase by the Village of Libertyville.

·      In addition, the ordinance increases the Central Lake County Joint Action Water Agency (CLCJAWA) service area water rate from $5.79 per 1,000 gallons to $5.83 per 1,000 gallons as a result of an increase in the water purchase cost from CLCJAWA by $0.04.
