R E S O L U T I O N

                     WHEREAS,                     the Division of Transportation  will be participating in the  joint procurement process conducted by the State of Illinois for the acquisition of ice control salt for the winter season of 2009 - 2010; and 

                     WHEREAS, it is estimated that 20,000 tons of ice control salt will be required for the 2009 - 2010 winter season; and 

                     WHEREAS, Bids for ice control salt for the winter season of 2009 - 2010 will be opened during April of 2009.

                     NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that there is hereby appropriated $1,700,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for the acquisition of ice control salt for the winter season of 2009 - 2010 either by said joint procurement or by separate county letting, if required, and designated as Section 10-00000-00-GM.
