.· This improvement includes the reconstruction and widening of Fairfield Road at Illinois Route 176 from one lane to two lanes for all four legs, the installation of new traffic signals, and the signal interconnection with Lake County PASSAGE.
· Before a project letting can be held, an appropriation of $19,080,000 of ¼% Sales Tax for Transportation and Public Safety funds is necessary.
· This County Board, at its meeting of February 14, 2012, approved an ordinance for the agreement with the LCFPD, including a budget of $500,000, for the landscaping and reforestation work.
· Change Order No. 1 is required to reflect the payment of $500,000 to the LCFPD for the landscaping and reforestation work.

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Fairfield Road, County Highway 49, is a designated route on the County highway system; and

WHEREAS, it would be beneficial for the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Fairfield Road at Illinois Route 176, Fairfield/176 Junction Improvement, could be improved to facilitate increased traffic capacities; and

WHEREAS, plans, specifications and estimates of costs for this improvement have been completed, and this improvement is now ready to proceed to contract letting; and

WHEREAS, before a construction letting can be held, an appropriation of funds is needed; and

WHEREAS, this County Board, at its meeting of February 14, 2012, approved an ordinance for the agreement with the LCFPD, including a budget of $500,000, for the landscaping and ...
