* This agreement provides for software maintenance fees for a one-year period, with renewal options.
* The total cost of the software for Fiscal Year 2025 is $53,507.47 for the current renewal period and will be expensed to Computer Fraud Forfeiture (Cyber) funds.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Lake County State's Attorney's Office entered into a renewal agreement with Magnet Forensics for software to process electronic evidence and provide data recovery; and
WHEREAS, this is the only commercially available software to lawfully provide the needed functionality for the Cyber Lab and law enforcement agencies to extract data and unlock new iOS devices; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 33.066 Bid Exemption of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, the Purchasing Agent engaged an ad hoc committee that approved the bid exemption on the basis of Single Source whereby this software is the only source to provide the services needed; and
WHEREAS, this agreement provides for the GrayKey software services.
