* Lewis Avenue: City of North Chicago Agreement and Jurisdictional Transfer from the City of North Chicago to Lake County.
* Lewis Avenue, from Argonne Drive to 14th Street, is currently designated as a municipal extension of County Highway 27 and has been resurfaced by the Lake County Division of Transportation.
* The City of North Chicago desires to transfer jurisdiction of Lewis Avenue, from Argonne Drive to 14th Street, to Lake County.
* The City of North Chicago will continue the routine maintenance of Lewis Avenue, from Argonne Drive to 14th Street.
* Lake County will be responsible for all of the capital maintenance of Lewis Avenue, from Argonne Drive to 14th Street.
* This agreement also authorizes transfer of the permitting authority to the City of North Chicago for Lewis Avenue, from Illinois Route 137 to 14th Street.
* The City of North Chicago approved this agreement on October 17, 2016.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the free flow of traffic along Lewis Avenue, County Highway 27, is beneficial for the safety and welfare of the motoring public; and
WHEREAS, Lewis Avenue, from Argonne Drive to 14th Street, is currently designated as a municipal extension of County Highway 27 and has been resurfaced by the Lake County Division of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, the City of North Chicago and Lake County are desirous of entering into an agreement for the jurisdictional transfer of Lewis Avenue, from Argonne Drive to 14th Street, from the City of North Chicago to Lake County, a draft copy attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the City of North Chicago will continue the routine maintenance of Lewis Avenue, from Argonne Drive to 14th Street; and
