Ordinance amending Chapter 96, Recreational Vehicles on Land, of the Lake County Code of Ordinance to allow for enforcement by the Sheriff and municipal police of manual on uniform traffic control devices (MUTCD) signs placed on Lake County bike paths.

• Chapter 96, Recreational Vehicles on Land, of the Lake County Code of Ordinance Revisions.
• The local police agency and the Sheriff currently enforce the provision for no equestrian or motorized vehicles on the trail. There is a need to add the authority for the local law enforcement to be able to enforce other provisions related to regulatory signs on the trails systems, such as stop signs.
• This ordinance authorizes law enforcement to be able to enforce provisions in the MUTCD.
• The ordinance amends the enforcement fees, allowing an increase for second or subsequent violations.

ORDINANCE REVISION
WHEREAS, the Lake County Board, from time-to-time makes revisions to the Lake County Code of Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 96, Recreational Vehicles on Land Ordinance, is in need of revisions to allow for enforcement by the Sheriff and Municipal Police of MUTCD signs placed on Lake County bike paths is needed and a track change version and clean version of the Ordinance with proposed revisions are attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED that the Lake County Board hereby adopts the attached revision to Chapter 96, Recreational Vehicles on Land Ordinance, of the Lake County Code of Ordinance to allow for enforcement by the Sheriff and Municipal Police of MUTCD signs placed on Lake County bike paths.
