Burke Engineering, Rosemont, Illinois, for the provision of Phase II design engineering services for the proposed Peterson Road widening, west of Illinois Route 83 to west of Alleghany Road, and the Alleghany Road resurfacing, north of Peterson Road to south of Illinois 120, at a maximum cost of services described as $892,067.74, appropriating $1,075,000 of ¼% Sales Tax for Transportation and Public Safety funds for these engineering services, and designated as Section 10-00098-19-RP.

· This project includes reconstructing and widening Peterson Road from two to four lanes, from west of Illinois Route 83 to west of Alleghany Road, and resurfacing Alleghany Road, north from the intersection at Peterson Road to Illinois Route 120.
· A consultant will be utilized to complete Phase II design engineering services.
· The selected, and recommended, firm is Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Rosemont, Illinois, for a maximum cost of services described as $892,067.74.
· This resolution appropriates $1,075,000 of ¼% Sales Tax for Transportation and Public Safety funds.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Peterson Road, County Highway 20, is a designated route on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial for the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Peterson Road, from west of Illinois Route 83 to west of Alleghany Road, could be improved by widening and reconstruction and Alleghany Road, from Peterson Road to Illinois Route 120, could be improved by resurfacing; and
WHEREAS, it is advisable that a consultant engineering firm be employed to provide said Phase II design engineering services; and
