R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the County of Lake (County) owns, operates and maintains the Pekara Water System; and
WHEREAS, the Pekara Reservoir is in need of repair and repainting; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Rules of this County Board, bids were called for by publication for the Pekara Reservoir Painting Project; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, the County received requests for bid documents from twelve (12) contractors; and
WHEREAS, three (3) sealed bids were received and publicly opened in the office of the Public Works Department on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., and
WHEREAS, Tecorp, Inc., Joliet, IL, is the lowest responsive, responsible bidder in the amount of $32,400.00; two (2) other bids received ranged from $42,000 to $110,800.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with Tecorp, Inc., Joliet, IL, in the amount of $32,400.00 for the Pekara Reservoir Painting Project and charging costs thereof to Account No. 610-4811510-71170-48310.
