Staff Summary
· On March 15, 2011, the Lake County Board authorized a contract with Buck Consultants, LLC, Chicago, IL for benefit consulting services in the annual amount of $115,000.
· Buck Consultants has identified a proprietary tool that will enable the Human Resources Department to better establish measurable outcomes and identify specific data driven decisions regarding the County’s benefit program.
· There is a one-time implementation cost to aggregate all data from each of the County’s benefit providers for medical, dental and pharmacy and an annual licensing fee for the software to provide analytical reporting.
· Amendment No. 1 increases the dollar amount by $118,000, increasing the previous contract amount from $115,000 to a total of $233,000, with an ongoing annual licensing fee of $53,000.
· In accordance with the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance it is hereby requested that the Purchasing Agent be authorized to execute Amendment No. 1 to Lake County Agreement #11004.
