• Waste Management has conducted a life cycle assessment (LCA) for its proposed waste transfer station in unincorporated Lake County directly south of the Countryside Landfill.
• A LCA analyzes four key parameters: net annual energy consumption, sulfur dioxide emissions, nitrogen oxide emissions and carbon dioxide emissions.
• The LCA must demonstrate that the proposed facility will be superior to the current system for at least three of the four parameters.
• Members of the public will have the opportunity to comment on the LCA.
