Title

Presentation and discussion from Waste Management on the life cycle assessment for the proposed waste transfer station in unincorporated Lake County.

Staff Summary

Waste Management has conducted a life cycle assessment (LCA) for its proposed waste transfer station in unincorporated Lake County directly south of the Countryside Landfill.

A LCA analyzes four key parameters: net annual energy consumption, sulfur dioxide emissions, nitrogen oxide emissions and carbon dioxide emissions.

The LCA must demonstrate that the proposed facility will be superior to the current system for at least three of the four parameters.

Members of the public will have the opportunity to comment on the LCA.
