Presentation on feasibility of expansion of CLCJAWA water service to existing groundwater-supplied County water systems.
Staff Summary
· As part of recent negotiations with the CLCJAWA the County requested examination of extension of water service to County groundwater-supplied systems.
· Examination of potential new service areas was to be conducted by CLCJAWA as part of extension of water delivery infrastructure to new members.
· The CLCJAWA Board of Directors amended this provision when they drafted a "Resolution Expressing the Intent of the Adopting Entities to Work towards a Membership Expansion of the Central Lake County Joint Action Water Agency."
· Existing Lake County water customers on groundwater supply would be given first right-of-refusal should the Agency determine it can accommodate customers in the future, such areas to be subject to connection charges.
· A review of this provision and discussion of feasibility work for other areas will be provided and staff seeks direction from Committee.
