The previous contract for Election Moving Services was terminated June 30, 2026 and an Emergency Agreement was negotiated to manage the November 2026 General Election.
Lake County issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Election Moving Services, and sealed proposals were received from 7 vendors.
Based on the criteria set forth in the RFP, an evaluation committee determined it to be in the best interest of Lake County to award to Mid-West Moving & Storage.
This resolution authorizes a two-year contract with three one-year renewals with Mid-West Moving & Storage effective from December 1, 2026, through November 30, 2031.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, there is a need to procure Election Moving Services for the Lake County Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the previous contract was terminated June 30, 2026 and an Emergency Agreement was negotiated to manage the November 2026 General Election; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with section 33.051 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, proposals were called for by publication for Election Moving Services; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, request for proposals were extended to 13 vendors and sealed proposals were received from 7 vendors and opened in the County Building, Waukegan, Illinois, on September 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.; and
WHEREAS, this resolution authorizes a two-year contract, with three one-year renewal options with Mid-West Moving & Storage.
