WHEREAS, the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority (ICJIA) has announced the continuation of the State’s Attorney’s Prosecutor-Based Victim Services program, with a 12 month renewal that includes $61,553 in federal funds to provide advocacy services to victims of domestic violence, aggravated battery, cyber-crime, identity theft and fraud during the period October 1, 2013 through September 30, 2014; and
WHEREAS, the grant program will fund 97 percent of the salary and benefits for a full-time Victim Witness Coordinator in the Domestic Division, and is comprised of $61,553 in federal funds, a required match of $15,389, and additional match of $3,192 for a program total of $80,134; and
WHEREAS, the grant renewal must be formally accepted by Lake County.
