· This resolution authorizes an intergovernmental agreement among the Stormwater Management Commission (SMC), Avon Township Highway Department, Fremont Township Highway Department and Lake County to provide funding for the design, construction plans and bid documents for a new 2,000 foot section of storm sewer to replace the failing drain tile.
· A future construction letting is contingent on assembling sufficient construction funding from the said parties.
· This resolution also appropriates $10,000 in County Bridge Funds.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Wilson Road (County Highway 7) experiences periodic flooding between IL Rte. 120 and IL Rte. 60 due to a failing drain tile located in the area; and
WHEREAS, this section of Wilson Road and the failing drain tile are both located within a 1,000 acre drainage area commonly known as the Four Corners Drainage Basin located in west central Lake County; and
WHEREAS, the Stormwater Management Commission (SMC), Avon Township Highway Department , Fremont Township Highway Department and Lake County are desirous of entering into an intergovernmental agreement to fund the design and prepare construction plans and bid documents for a new 2,000 foot section of storm sewer; a draft copy of said agreement is attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, Lake County’s share of this funding shall not exceed $10,000 for the design phase.
