Resolution providing for the appointment of Darcy Adcock as Director of Human Resources.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Darcy Adcock joined Lake County as Assistant Human Resources Director in April 2021, and served in that role until January 2024; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Adcock was named Interim Director of Human Resources on January 2, 2024, and has been overseeing the functions and staff of the Human Resources Department since that date; and
WHEREAS, Lake County contracted with a third party to conduct a national search for candidates for this position and oversee the recruitment; and
WHEREAS, based on Ms. Adcock’s experience and skills, she was selected as the finalist candidate in the recruitment; and
WHEREAS, based on her exemplary performance in the interim role and as Assistant Human Resources Director, her excellence during the multi-stage interview process, her knowledge and skills, and her existing relationships, the County Administrator hereby recommends the appointment of Ms. Adcock as the Director of Human Resources for Lake County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that Ms. Darcy Adcock be appointed Director of Human Resources at an annual salary of $159,845, with other terms and conditions of employment as outlined in the Letter of Acceptance (attached hereto and made a part hereof); and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said appointment shall take effect on June 11, 2024.
