RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, O'Plaine Road, County Highway 38, is a designated route on the County highway system; and

WHEREAS, the State of Illinois and Lake County believe it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the traveling public if the intersection of Illinois Route 120 and O'Plaine Road could be improved by widening to provide dual left turns on Illinois Route 120, installing sidewalk on the east side of O'Plaine Road, and installing a new traffic signal at the intersection; and

WHEREAS, the State of Illinois and Lake County are desirous of entering into an agreement for the above referenced improvement, a draft copy of which is attached hereto; and

WHEREAS, an appropriation of funds is required.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County are authorized, and they are hereby directed to execute an agreement, and any subsequent amendments, for the improvement at the intersection of Illinois Route 120 and O'Plaine Road, and designated as Section 23-00999-96-TL; ...
