Staff Summary
• Change Order No. 5 provides for installation and termination of new wiring between building 80 and building 90 to control and operate three existing sludge feed pumps, and is in the net amount of $36,679.87.
• This additional work is necessary because it has been determined that one or more of the control and power conductors of the existing sludge feed pumps in building 80 have been damaged and represent an operational liability and safety concern.
• Change Orders No. 1 thru No. 4 have been initiated for a net amount of $101,845.42 (8.72% of contract amount).
• The addition of Change Orders No. 1 thru No.5 increases the contract amount from $1,168,300 to $1,306,825.29 (11.86% of contract amount).
• Change orders that exceed 10% of the total contract amount must be approved by the Public Works & Transportation and Finance & Administration Committees.
