· The current roof of the BMB Clinic at 2400 Belvidere Road in Waukegan is 15 years old and is showing signs that it is at the end of its effective useful life.
· The project is designed to remove the existing roofing membrane while keeping the present insulation and upgrading as needed pursuant to new energy codes.
· An invitation to bid for the roof rehabilitation was issued and invitations were extended to 27 vendors.
· Sealed bids were received from four firms ranging from $185,500 to $214,500.
· Funding for this project was approved as part of the 2013 CCIP Facility Assessment.
· National Roofing Corporation, Forest Park, IL, is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who best meets the needs of the County for a cost of $185,500.

WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 4-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for Roof Rehabilitation at the Belvidere Medical Building (BMB), 2400 Belvidere Road, Waukegan, IL; and

WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, an Invitation to Bid was extended to 27 vendors; and

WHEREAS, sealed bids were received from four vendors and opened at the Central Permit Facility, Libertyville, Illinois, on May 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.; and

WHEREAS, the current roof at the BMB Clinic at 2400 Belvidere Road in Waukegan is 15 years old and is showing signs that it is at the end of its effective useful life; and

WHEREAS, the project is designed to remove the existing roofing membrane while keeping the present insulation and upgrading it as needed pursuant to new energy codes; and
