RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, pursuant to authority granted by this Lake County Board, the County Engineer heretofore called for sealed bids, by publication, for the intersection improvement of Miller Road at US Route 12, and designated as Section 15-00118-12-CH; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication and calling for said bids, sealed bids were received and opened on March 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lake County Division of Transportation in Libertyville, Illinois; a tabulation of said bids being as follows:

WHEREAS, the Public Works and Transportation Committee, the County Engineer and the Purchasing Agent have examined each bid, and it appears that the lowest responsible bidder is Berger Excavating Contractors, their bid being $2,986,314.43 based on estimated quantities and unit prices; and
WHEREAS, an appropriation of funds is required.
