R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Peterson Road (County Highway 20) is a designated route on the county highway system; and

WHEREAS, the free flow of traffic along Peterson Road is beneficial to the safety and welfare to the State of Illinois and the county as a whole; and

WHEREAS, Lake County believes it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Peterson Road at its intersection with IL Rte. 60 could be relocated; and

WHEREAS, plans, specifications and estimates of cost for this improvement have been completed and this improvement is now ready to proceed to contract letting; and

                     WHEREAS, before a construction letting can be held, an appropriation of funds is needed.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that there is hereby appropriated $11,040,000 of ¼% Sales Tax for Transportation and Public Safety funds for the relocation and reconstruction of Peterson Road at IL Rte. 60 and designated as Section 10-00098-11-CH.
