RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the resignation of Melinda Bush from the Metra Board of Directors creates a vacancy; and
WHEREAS, the provisions of 70 ILCS 3615 provide that the Chair of the Lake County Board shall appoint one director to the Metra Board of Directors with the advice and consent of the Lake County Board, and the appointee shall reside in Lake County; and
WHEREAS, your Chair requests that this County Board confirm the appointment of Gary Gordon to the Metra Board of Directors, to fulfill the remainder of the vacancy for a term ending on March 31, 2025, and subsequent term beginning on April 1, 2025, and ending on March 31, 2029.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the appointment of Gary Gordon to the Metra Board of Directors, beginning immediately and ending on March 31, 2029, be, and the same is hereby confirmed.
