RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Fairfield Road (County Highway 49) is a designated route on the county highway system; and

WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if the intersection of Fairfield Road at Gossell Road could be improved by realigning, widening, and the installation of permanent traffic control signals; and

WHEREAS, plans, specifications and estimates of costs for this improvement have been completed and this improvement is now ready to proceed to contract letting; and

WHEREAS, before a construction letting can be held an appropriation of funds is needed.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that there is hereby appropriated $842,000 of Matching Tax funds, $187,000 of County Bridge Tax funds, and $1,011,000 of the ¼% Sales Tax for Transportation and Public Safety funds for the intersection improvement at Fairfield Road and Gossell Road and designated as Section 01-00113-14-ES
