RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Human Services has provided Redeploy Illinois Grant totaling $297,000 to the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit; and
WHEREAS, services include mental health, substance abuse, and delinquency intervention for youth in in underserved areas of Lake County; and
WHEREAS, contracts will be established for in-home and community-based Functional Family Therapy (FFT), and trauma informed training for all therapist and Juvenile Probation Officers; and
WHEREAS, an emergency appropriation of $297,000 is requested to allocate these funds into the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit County Fiscal Year 2024 budget and authorize acceptance of this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the County Board authorizes an emergency appropriation in the amount of $297,000, as detailed in the attached budget, to implement Redeploy Illinois Grant for the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit for the grant period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025.
