R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lake County through its Division of Transportation has applied for funding and has been awarded up to $70,216 in an Illinois Clean Diesel Grant from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency; and
WHEREAS, Lake County, through it Division of Transportation, is entitled to 100% reimbursement of the cost to retrofit 16 vehicles with diesel oxidation catalysts and closed crankcase ventilation systems; and
WHEREAS, Lake County, at its board meeting of February 13, 2007, adopted a resolution supporting Lake County’s participation in the Green Illinois Government Campaign and the Illinois Green Government Coordinating Council; and
WHEREAS, Lake County, at its board meeting of April 14, 2009 adopted the Strategy for a Sustainable Lake County Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Transportation has included the revenue and expense in its 2010 budget
