* Lewis Avenue: City of Waukegan Agreement and Jurisdictional Transfer from the City of Waukegan to Lake County.
* Lewis Avenue, from 14th Street to Dugdale Road, is currently designated as a municipal extension of County Highway 27 and Lewis Avenue, from 14th Street to Belvidere Street, will be improved in 2017 by the Lake County Division of Transportation.
* The City of Waukegan desires to transfer jurisdiction of Lewis Avenue, from 14th Street to Belvidere Street, to Lake County.
* The City of Waukegan will continue the routine maintenance of Lewis Avenue, from 14th Street to Belvidere Street.
* Lake County will be responsible for all of the capital maintenance of Lewis Avenue, from 14th Street to Belvidere Street.
* This agreement also authorizes transfer of the permitting authority to the City of Waukegan for Lewis Avenue, from 14th Street to Belvidere Street.
* The City of Waukegan approved this agreement on October 17, 2016.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the free flow of traffic along Lewis Avenue, County Highway 27, is beneficial for the safety and welfare of the motoring public; and
WHEREAS, Lewis Avenue, from 14th Street to Dugdale Road, is currently designated as a municipal extension of County Highway 27 and Lewis Avenue, from 14th Street to Belvidere Street, will be improved in 2017 by the Lake County Division of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, the City of Waukegan and Lake County are desirous of entering into an agreement for the jurisdictional transfer of Lewis Avenue, from 14th Street to Belvidere Street, from the City of Waukegan to Lake County, a draft copy attached hereto; and
